Resident Commentary 

This section looks at specific parts of the Kendall-Whittier Sector Plan, why they matter today, and how current decisions compare with the plan residents helped create. Resident commentary is clearly labeled and is not part of the official plan.

November 2016 matters. This Sector Plan came out of a formal neighborhood planning process that included residents, businesses, public workshops, questionnaires, and other neighborhood-wide outreach. An individual organization’s listening sessions may provide useful input, but they are not a substitute for a community-wide planning process. Today, that process should also include meaningful online and asynchronous ways to participate, so residents do not have to attend a meeting at a particular time and place in order to be heard.
