States that Kendall Whittier, Inc. was formed by a coalition of neighborhood churches in 1968.

Crosstown Learning Center — “Crosstown History.”
States that Crosstown Learning Center began in 1969 as a ministry of Second Presbyterian Church to serve Kendall-Whittier families. The organization says its name came from the Crosstown Expressway.
